Petronas Towers: Kuala Lumpur

I have more to say about Australia, the wonderful food, the Great Ocean Road, Melbourne, but for now I’m going to skip them and hurry to catch up! Golden Temple

Kinkakuji, Kyoto’s golden temple, is not just painted gold, but is actually covered in a thin layer of gold leaf. It’s located in the middle of a beautiful traditional Japanese garden and spending time here was one of the most peaceful experiences I had in Japan.

Nighttime at Luna

This creepy face marks the entrance to Luna Park, an amusement park in Sydney that has been there since the 1930′s. Unfortunately the park was ridiculously expensive, so we just walked around rather then take any rides.  Most of the rides were retrohilarious, including one which rotated so quickly that people stick to the wall in a circle. Crazy!

Three Sisters

The Blue Mountains near Sydney provide some of the most amazing views I’ve ever seen. This is of the the three sisters in Katoomba. You can climb down some stairs and up to the middle of the first sister. Those were some scary stairs.

Kangeroos!

We saw a lot of kangaroos in Australia, but the live ones were too fast to get a good picture of in the car, and the abundant dead ones were too sad. By far the most impressive one was this 20 foot animatronic kangaroo next to a gas station in Queensland. It moved its ears and eyes and Scott waited around for a long time to see if the pouch would open, but unfortunately we had no luck on that front.
